You love Nightmare on Elm Street? We can't be friends... just kidding. I love the old Halloweens and have seen most of the Jason movies but Elm Street is where I draw the line. Freddy is the only one that gives me nightmares.... ironic no?

So another username I've used is mknzycalhoun.... M'k'n'z'y Calhoun. Not many people get the reference but it is from Star Trek books.... It was a Peter David series called New Frontier. Loved the captain so used it as a username.... just show my geekiness. LOL

Lol. 1, 2 and a little of 3 of AMOES. Lol. Same! I'd hard core OG on the Horror movies genres. I prefer OG's to the new remakes. Lol understandable. I don't recall ever getting nightmares on any of them, they are more comedy to me then make me have nightmares or scare me.

Nice! I'm not familiar with the name, but I bet half my Trek clubs I've been in and are in now knows of it or at least the book. Nice, I never could find a good Trek name I really liked as a username, so I did this one from Harry Potter, which is my favorite candy/sweet. Especially when I go to Universal Studios Hollywood, conventions or 5 Below and they have them.

Exactly. I do think part of it is, I don't like gore. Some I can deal with but more modern horror movies are over the top. Yeah, I don't typically have nightmares but Freddy does it for me. Yuck.

Maybe. You should ask. I had a friend online who was the only one to recognize it and started calling me Captain. Weirdo. My username now is a character I created which I really liked (not to pat myself on the back)... she was kind of bitchy but strong and willing to help people.... I couldn't say honest because she lied a lot (I don't). Anyways, I liked the character after I created it for Andromeda fanfiction... so I went with it.

I also used Mknzy Calhoun for The Pretender fandom and turned him into her as Mackenzie Calhoun. That was back in the fanfiction days which part of me still creates the stories in my mind but I haven't written in a long time.

I did figure yours was from Harry Potter. I love fantasy so HP is a fav too. So you are in California? Me too. I loved my 1 trip to Universal to see the Wizarding World there. I loved every minute but haven't been able to go back. I live in NorCal so much harder for me. I do remember loving the Butter Beer but I also got a frozen one.

Same. I love some gore, but some movies like Saw I steer clear from big time, I refuse to watch those or Hills have eyes with those type of scenes.

Yup, the candy is so good. I need to get the mold on amazon to make my own lol. Yup, SoCal. About an hour away from Disney and Universal, plus Knott's depending on traffic. About to reget my Universal pass next month since our Disney passes are blocked out for the summer since we got the lowest. It's so awesome, we go once or twice a month when we got the pass, but got a bit burnt out. But with summer coming we plan to go back. HP world is my favorite. Understandable, hopefully you can go back again soon. Butterbeer is awesome. I just tried Butterbeer popcorn from Sam's Club my friend got and gave me after our movie night, and it was really good.

Oh my gosh. I hated Saw and only ever saw the 1st one. I didn't enjoy it. I prefer things like The Haunting of Hill House.

I grew up in Ontario down there. If I still lived there I would have a Disney pass too. Although, going to HP would be a must too. But I'm more of a Disneyland person. I used to go every year at least (far less than you). I can see going constantly, getting old, but I do love it so who knows.

Yeah, my sister and I often try all the different Butter Beer flavored things but I don't have a Sam's Club nearby so I never saw that. I'm sure one of us would have gotten it.

I like some gore, but hearing and seeing stuff from that I'm like nope I'm good. I also don't like movies with rape scenes. If I do watch one I fast forward those like in Stir of Echos, I LOVE that movie but hated the scene.

Oh nice! I'm in Highland/San Bernardino unfortunately. I often go their. I'll be having both passes again next month, I quit my Universal when I got burnt out. But with our imagine key the cheapest key pass, we are blacked out for the summer. So starting next month it's Universal for us. HP land is a must for any fan! It's cool to have a pass even if you don't go often, you get perks with the members thing. One year when I didn't have the extra $$ they had a buy a robe and wand for $100, I STILL kick myself for not being able to do that cause it's so expensive buying those all seperately. Hoping they do it every year.

Nice! Hope you get to go again. Sometimes we go and just enjoy the food and people watch and hang out, maybe a ride or two. Not focus on rides all the time, sometimes pin trading. Just depends on our wants and how hot it is.

Dang that sucks. Try Walmart if you got one, they often have Harry Potter candy, at least ours does. Also if you have a 5 Below they often have the HP candy, I caught some at Michaels last month. You can always order online to for certain stuff. Amazon is a good place to get certain candy or even the Orlando store for Universal there, California Disney doesn't have a online store like Orlando does. They always tell you to order on there when you ask in the park. I bet! It's worth it.

I hate rape scenes too. I have watched stories with it (oh I hate that part in Stir of Echoes) but I hate it. I love Outlander and Game of Thrones but when those moments come up I fast forward.

Whoa. One of my best friends lives in Highland. Crazy. She's a nurse out there somewhere. I don't remember her hospitals name. She was giving me updates last year when you all had that fire come close.

Oh man. I'd kick myself too. I mean it would be worth it for that wouldn't it.

Yeah, that is why I want to go to Disney for an extended period. I want to be able to do more than the rides. See shows. Take tours. Do the Disney scavenger hunt and find all the hidden things in the park. You can look that up online. But usually going 1 day I'm focused on rides. I mean I really like the rides... I loved SW: Rise of the Resistance. That was so fun. My favs though are Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Alice in Wonderland, Pirates, Star Tours... and the Haunted Mansion.

My Uncle actually worked for Disney way back when they were putting in the park. He helped with the Haunted Mansion. I think he said he helped with the end part where the ghosts are in your buggy. He used to have one of the painting from the elevator. Of course, it didn't stretch. I think it was stolen which is so sad. But I remember going to his house as a kid and him having it there. It was the guy in the bowler hat that when it stretches they are in quicksand. Only it was just the pre-stretch part with the guy on top. It was a really big painting though. His kids never cared about it so I'd always hoped he give it to us. I was so bummed when he said it was stolen.

You know I think there is a 5 Below near the mall we go to in Modesto. I've never been inside. Maybe next time I run down there. That is true. I'm constantly ordering from Amazon. I should check out the Universal website.
